Founded in July of 2021 by owner, operator, and experienced yoga instructor, Terra DeArment RYT500, Breathe In Yoga is more than just a studio—it's a sanctuary where you can explore your true self, develop a practice that resonates with your spirit, and discover the power of breath to connect and inspire. Whether you're new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, Breathe In Yoga is here to support you on your path to self-discovery and well-being.

Terra’s Journey to Empowerment

Opening Breathe In Yoga after practicing yoga for 20 years was more than just starting a business—it was about overcoming my fears and finding my voice.

I began teaching in 2019 and quickly discovered my teaching style, knowing almost immediately that I wanted to open a studio of my own. I had always dreamed of starting my own business by age 40, and as it turned out, I was about to turn 40, which made me even more motivated to get right to it!

I opened the studio in July 2021, offering a variety of classes seven days a week, and I continue with this routine to this day. Little by little, I was fortunate to welcome some incredibly talented, educated, and passionate instructors to the Breathe In team, expanding our offerings and providing a more well-rounded experience for all who practice with us.

To me, yoga is not about what you look like; it’s about how you feel. It’s simple, really. Yoga makes me happy, and I want to share the joy and healing qualities of this beautiful practice with my community.

Beyond the immense physical benefits yoga provides, it also has the power to empower you both mentally and emotionally. Personally, it has helped me heal from past abuse in a relationship and struggles with alcohol. Yoga has become a constant tool in my mental health journey and has connected me to my body more deeply than any other workout I have tried.

I don’t necessarily consider myself a fitness instructor, because, to me, yoga isn’t just about getting fit. Getting fit is just a bonus—yoga is a true lifestyle.
