Leah Leslie RYT200

Yin Instructor

Yoga has provided Leah Leslie with a spiritual path and a deep awareness that continues to manifest both on and off the mat. Through her practice, she has nurtured her true self, addressed and dispelled flaws in her inner narrative, and reconnected with her body, resulting in a newfound sense of peace. She has learned that slowing down is powerful, and by noticing these truths, we can begin to restore ourselves.

She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in social sciences and psychology. She then pursued graduate coursework at Edinboro University, earning a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling and art therapy. Currently, Leah works full-time as an inpatient counselor and art therapist at a hospital, specializing in trauma and addictions.

In April 2022, she completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) with My Vinyasa Practice. Her focus has always been on Yin yoga, as it is the perfect complement to trauma care, targeting the connective tissues of the body where trauma is often stored as unprocessed material, causing both physical and emotional pain. Her passion lies in helping others find their voice, release what no longer serves them, and foster resilience. Leah is dedicated to sharing yoga as a tool to alleviate the unnecessary suffering that often accompanies the human experience.

Student Testimonials

“Leah's Yin/Yoga Nidra is transformative! I love the Studio's Hot and Vinyasa classes too, but staying still, holding long poses, and meditation is very difficult for me. (Type A personality) Leah is the perfect instructor for this class. Thoughtful instruction for Yin and a hypnotic voice for the Nidra meditation. After every class, I am relaxed and calm, but also clear-headed with a sense of connection to everything. I recommend this class to everyone!”
